Together, We Can Make History in Nevada’s 2nd Congressional District! 🇲🇽🇺🇸

Dear Friends and Supporters,

First off, THANK YOU! Your loyalty and support mean the world to this insurgent, grassroots, people-powered campaign. As the only Mexican-American and Latino in this race, I embody both the failures and the potential of our country. My lived experience uniquely positions me to fight for our district in Washington at a time when so many Americans care deeply about immigrant justice.

Every donation, every act of volunteering—no matter how small or how big—truly makes a difference. We are up against a billionaire and the same old establishment politicians, but together, we are building something different and better. 🌟🏾 We are following the bold playbook of Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Mandhani, and Greg Casar—building a broad coalition rooted in economic justice.

We know we will never be able to outspend Kidd's billions, but we have something far more powerful: people power. We saw the strength of this movement when people's power forced Amodei not to seek reelection. Now, it’s time to harness that energy and elect the first Latino and Mexican-American to represent Northern Nevada in Congress.

March was an incredible month for our movement. From joining the No Kings protest on March 28th to being featured in the Reno Gazette-Journal and on KUNR radio, to participating in an "Anti-establishment" forum, our message is spreading. At our official campaign launch, we had a wonderful, diverse group of supporters who reflect the interfaith, interracial, and intergenerational movement we are building. As I doordash across the district on a daily basis, I meet so many hardworking Nevadans—over 60% of whom are living paycheck to paycheck. They are all inspired to real change, and they are organizing for real change. Our unique economic platform, including a universal basic income of $1,300/month funded by billionaires who haven’t paid their fair share, is resonating with so many. 💸

Universal Basic Income is not just a response to 50 years of economic inequality—it’s the proactive solution we need as automation and artificial intelligence threaten millions of jobs, right here in our district. Just this year, Tesla is set to produce 50,000 semi-trucks, which will displace thousands of truck drivers in OUR district in the next year. We need to be ready for what’s coming next.

On the international front, I bring unmatched qualifications. After 9/11, I declared my major in international relations and wrote a 64-page paper on Iran’s foreign policy. In the Middle East, we are witnessing the end of the U.S. empire as we know it, and I believe it’s time to redefine our role in the world—not through isolation but through a foreign policy truly rooted in human rights, democracy, and equitable, sustainable globalization. 🌍

Looking ahead to April:

  • 04/02 6-8 pm Coffee n’ Comics on Baring Blvd in Sparks Forum with other anti-establishment candidates

  • 04/04 1–3 pm at the South Valleys Library on Wedge Parkway in south Reno.

  • 04/06 5:30 to 7:30 pm I’ll be on stage in South Reno with Kidd and Teresa Benitez Thompson—a unique opportunity to show how our platform stands apart.

Mid-April, I’ll be hitting the road to visit rural communities across the district: Winnemucca, Elko, Fallon, Eureka, Ely, Carson City, Yerington, and more. This ambitious tour comes at a cost, so if you believe in this movement, please consider donating what you can. Every bit helps! 🙏🏾

This campaign is about US—it’s about giving a voice to the voiceless. I have a PhD from the School of Hard Knocks—dropping out of college due to economic inequality, experiencing homelessness after the Great Recession, getting caught in a criminal justice system that punishes poverty, and surviving on SNAP and minimum wage. But, like Rocky (and like many of you!), I got back up. I earned my bachelor’s in political science and my master’s in public administration and policy from UNR. I know how to fight, how to get back up, and how to win—like no other candidate in this race. 🛤️💪🏾

We are 51 days from early voting (May 23rd)—less than two months away! The primary on June 9th with early voting from May 23rd to June 5th  is what matters. With the right combination of academic excellence, 20+ years in international relations and political science, a decade of activism and campaign management, and a bold economic vision for $1,300/month for all, we can WIN! But I need your help—volunteer, donate, make calls, send texts, share my social media posts. Every action brings us closer to victory.

Our numbers guy says the winning number is 50,000–60,000 votes. That’s REALISTIC and DOABLE—with all hands on deck. 🗳️

The following section is on how to talk with friends about Gamy Enriquez’s Congressional race (and what sets me and our platform apart from other candidates):

Send them flyers (from my social media and the attached below). Ask them to do the same. The primary is June 9, and early voting opens May 23. If you have any questions, suggestions, or need flyers and resources, let me know—I'm here to help.

Thank you for believing in a better Nevada. Together, we can make history! 💥

With hope and determination,
